When you drive on the most beautiful road in the world...

driving is not only driving

(This photo is taken in my car while I was driving, so it's not clear.
Believe me, the scene is much much more beautiful than this pic)

Most beautiful road in the world, the Canadians claim so in their Mountain Guide
Since I didn't drive on all roads on earth, I can't say this for sure,
but driving on Icefield Parkway is the FIRST time in my life that I'm willing to drive lower than speed limit,
not because of the polices and traffic

Imagine that when you are driving...
this mountain is just on your left hand side

suddenly, between the coniferous forest on your right hand side, there are these river and mountains

after you turn right:

this lake just shows up

you want to stop everywhere, forgetting about your schedule, and the sunset begins...

but suddenly this lake shows up:

Although you know you have to arrive the accommodation before dark, but you just can't help stopping the car

I'm not telling a story...that what I felt when I drove on Icefield Parkway...
The most important thing is that other cars on this road are like you, they're not rush to anywhere
so no one will hoot the horn to you or kiss your car's ass.

And actually, there are really not much car, you can figure it out from my pictures,
most of the time there are just one car far away from you or no car on the road.
Also, the big trucks are not allowed to enter Icefield Parkway, so I really, really enjoy driving on this road, slowly
(that's why I arrived Lake Louis hostel quite late)

This article is written in English for Carl...do you regret to not travelling with me?
